Whas happened in sports last night.
- NBA: Last night was the first meeting of the Gasol brothers—the Laker’s Pau and the Grizzlies’ Marc—in the NBA. It was a little disorienting seeing Pau and a fat facsimile of him running up and down the court, but they were certainly entertaining enough. The game, however, was O.J. Mayo’s and Kobe Bryant’s, who hit the three that put Los Angeles comfortably ahead as time wound down. Lakers 105, Grizzlies 96 [LA Times]
- MLB: The Yankees are going to have to pay a price for all their pricey offseason signings. $26 million to be exact. [MLB.com]
- NBA: LeBron James… from a British perspective. [Guardian UK]
- NFL: Are wins at the Broncos and against the Texans enough to win Tom Cable the Raiders coaching job full time? [SI.com]
- EPL: Apparently getting Robinho wasn’t enough for Manchester City, who are on the verge of relegation. [Sporting News]
