Video: Will Smith Helps Minnesota Vikings’ Bernard Berrian Get Jiggy For Charity

Does anything scream “street credibility” these days quite like Will Smith?
In honor of their work together for the charity Second Harvest, Smith choreographed Minnesota Vikings WR Bernard Berrian’s new end zone dance. Above, you can watch the two work out the old school moves Berrian will now bring to the field on Sundays.
Since its almost Christmas, and this is for charity, we’ll be nice.

Smith was in the Twin Cities on Friday for a premiere of his new movie Seven Pounds; the event served as a fundraiser for Second Harvest Heartland, the Upper Midwest’s largest hunger-relief organization. Smith, who donated 300 turkeys to Second Harvest Heartland during the event, was joined on the red carpet by Berrian, who recently donated $10,000 to Second Harvest Heartland and was responsible for more than $20,000 in community contributions.

Smith choreographed the dance at the movie premiere at the request of Berrian, who wanted to tap Smith’s success as a rapper to achieve a touchdown dance like no other. Should the opportunity present itself, Berrian will perform the dance during the remaining regular season Vikings games to thank Smith for his efforts on behalf of Second Harvest Heartland and to recognize the more than 250,000 children in Minnesota who live in families struggling to put food on their tables each week.

Berrian said he’d work this dance in when he next scored, and he did drop two TDs on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, so we have to believe this went down. That said, we haven’t found video just yet, so we can neither confirm or deny.
When we first saw this story, a million jokes swirled in our heads about just how Berrian could show his face in the locker room after learning a dance from the Fresh Prince. That’s not gangsta. But since it’s for charity, and since Bernard is much bigger than us and could probably kick our collective asses, we’re gonna let this one slide.
