We knew that Miami-born Alex Rodriguez liked living La Isla Bonita-style, but we didn’t know how Bonita until we saw these pictures of his Coral Gables home. Why does the front look like the entrance to Tony Montana’s house in Scarface? The tall columns, the 10 pools of water, the jungle motif. We have a lot of friends down in South Florida with nice houses, and we can honestly say that all homes aren’t built this way. And it seems like that the ostentatious look isn’t in line with the current housing market because A-Rod’s going to have to take a bath in one of those entry-way wading pools. The house, which he put up on the market at $14.9 million has gone unsold, even with a batting cage in the back! Like seriously, who doesn’t want a batting cage in your backyard? Even at the now hot selling-price of… $12.4 million? There are more pics after the jump if you’re in the mood to swing at roaches flying at your face while you try to hit a 90-MPH fastball.
