Maria Sharapova Shows Off Her California Style

We were back in Los Angeles for the holiday visiting our mom and long-lost compas when we had to make a run to the Ralphs for some hot dogs on New Years Eve. When we were at the checkout counter, we saw this magazine with Maria Sharapova on the cover and we almost dropped our dogs. Not only is she drop dead goregous, but she also does it Cali-style, not like those other skanky tennis ladies (cough*Jennifer Capriati*cough) who live and practice in Florida. She lives in Manhattan Beach, which is a playground for athletes from all around the country, not just L.A.-based ones, like Jeff Garcia and Landon Donovan. We think that comes out pretty well in these pictures that for some reason were really blanched out (we’re assuming it’s to give the Cali sun feel).
