Whas happened in sports last night.
- NBA: The big talk of the NBA season has been the Eastern Conference (seriously, when’s the last time that happened?), but the Western teams might have something to say about that. Two in particular—the Lakers and Spurs—slugged it out yesterday in a battle of the top two teams in the conference, which was handled easily by the Staples Center home team, and created a six-game gap between the two in the standings. - MLS: If Landon Donovan moves over the Germany for good, will his replacement be… Michael Owen? [TFC Connected]
- Serie A: David Beckham scored his first goal in Italy as AC Milan makes sandwich meat out of Bologna. [USA Today]
- NBA: Sad news as the mom of Eddie Curry’s son gets murdered in Chicago. [LA Times]
- Racing: A marathoner got sidetracked by a video truck that went the wrong way, which ended up costing him the race. Talk about suxors. [Miami Herald]
