Whas happened in sports last night.

  • NFL: The Baltimore Ravens drew the best opponent they could’ve hoped for in the first round of the playoffs. Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington was having a great year, but he has always been prone to getting flustered under pressure—one of the things Baltimore does the best. The result was a four-pick day and a blowout by the Ravens to lead then into a tilt with Tennessee. Ravens 27, Dolphins 9 [Baltimore Sun]
  • NFL: The San Diego Chargers may have gotten past the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, but will the lack of LaDainian Tomlinson in the backfield prove fatal against the Steelers this weekend? [Sporting News]
  • NFL: The Raiders aren’t as hush-hush about a report that Al Davis is thinking about selling 10% of the club to an L.A. billionaire—they’re flatly denying it. [USA Today]
  • Boxing: 21-year-old women’s boxing star Jisselle Salandy died Saturday night after getting in a fatal car crash on the outskirts of Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. [Chicago Sun Times]
  • Soccer: A fine list of all the expiring contracts across the leagues in 2009. [mCalcio.com]
