Oh boy, the mayor’s bets of teams in the playoffs are getting intense. In preparation for this weekend’s AFC Championship game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, Pitt mayor Luke Ravenstahl has filed the paperwork to change his last name name to Steelerstahl, because those damn crabcake- and Wire-loving Baltimorians might take the game, but dammit if they’re going to take his last name. Of course, Luke Whatever didn’t actually pay the money to make the name change go through, just to get enough media attention to get bloggers to talk about Pittsburgh and maybe get someone to visit their town. Talk about desperate.
Oh, and by the way, the German translation of stahl is steel, so his name would’ve been “Luke Steelsteel.” And not only would that be one of the greatest names ever, but just screamed for us to run the video after the jump.
