So what did you get for Christmas this year? Whatever it was, the likelihood of it being as awesome as what Puma gave Joseph Pritchard is pretty unlikely. That’s because 8-year-old Joseph got goalie gloves that fit his hands, which only have three fingers on each.
Joseph was born that way, with a two fingers and a thumb, so he never could get his proper keeper on because the gloves kept on coming off. But when his dad when to bat for him, he couldn’t find any… until Puma special made four pair for him and stitched his name into them.
“They are helpful to me because they won’t fall off when I’m playing football and they are more comfy…. They are one of the best presents I’ve ever had.”
Joseph’s dad Darren, 36, added: “As he opened them his face lit up and he was glowing. He didn’t take them off most of the day, even when he was eating his tea.”
Wow, the kid eats tea, too huh. Maybe he’s not too far from emulating his idol Wayne Rooney in the upstairs department, if you catch our drift.
