Our idea of a wild time almost always starts with a bottle of Jack Daniels and finishes with waking up in strange places with throbbing headaches. That’s probably why we couldn’t keep our eyes off this video shot in Norway. We watched in amazement while expert skiers JT Holmes and Espin Fadnes take base jumping to the next level. After starting off Ski-BASEing (not to be confused with “free-basing” although after watching the video we do have to wonder…), a James Bond-inspired sport where skiers parachute off cliffs, under the training of parachute expert Loic Jean-Albert (A.K.A. Flying Man), they trade in the snow and skis for flying suits. Our jaws dropped watching Fadnes mock death by flying at about 100 MPH a foot and a half away from a cliff side highway. Since Jean-Albert is reportedly developing a parachute-less flying suit, we’ll be on the lookout for more news from this crew (including in the obituaries).
Check out the video after the jump.
