The Steelers/Ravens game had a lot of hard hitting, as we all expected it to have. But late in the fourth quarter, with Baltimore driving down the field to try to salvage one last shot to make the game closer after Joe Flacco had thrown an interception that was returned for a score, the quarterback threw a slant pattern to Willis McGahee. Which he caught. And then was absolutely crushed by the Steelers’ Ryan Clark after taking three steps. Both guys were flattened to the ground as everyone clamored for the loose ball that was loosened by Clark’s hit. The scariest thing about the scene was not only McGahee’s arms tensing up and laying there for about 20 minutes before being carted off the field, but CBS’ insistence on running replays of the hit incessantly, including the super-super-slow mo cam shot.
