When the Florida Gators and Oklahoma Sooners meet tonight to claim the “national championship” for college football (yeah, right). we should only feel badly for two people, whatever the outcome. Those are the UF students who don the costumes for the school’s mascots, Albert E. Alligator and Alberta Alligator. That’s because the suits weigh forty pounds each, and it’s an additional 20 degrees warmer inside than the true outside temperature. Luckily for the students, it’s a balmy February night in Miami at around 65 degrees at kickoff, so it shouldn’t be too bad. Plus, it’s easier to hide your booze in a costume and sneak it in past security, that’s that’s a plus.
Enjoy the game tonight, all, and prepare to hear a lot tomorrow about about [enter school, most likely Utah] got screwed out a championship.
