Great Latino Artists Of Our Time: Mexican Guy Makes Transforming Bumblebee Costume

Let us all celebrate this wonderful Mexican who took the time out of his life to create a Bumblebee costume that actually transforms into a Chevy Camaro. Totally wonderful video after the jump.

Now, there are other videos of other functioning Transformer costumes out there, and they’re pretty cool, but this one really blows the others out of the water. Is it our racialism showing? Perhaps. But also, check out the attention to detail with the way he’s crafted the body of that bitchin’ Camaro and the intricacy of the transformation. This guy knows his space robots, and we don’t even care that it’s the lame-o new version and not the awesome old-school VW bug.

The car doesn’t drive or anything, and it’s weird that there isn’t, like, wild applause when he completes the transformation, but whatever. God bless you, Mexican guy in a car dealership with lots of time on your hands and a whole bunch of plastic lying around. Viva la raza!
