Brooke Hundley is in the news again. Steve Phillips's ex-mistress presented her own side of the story on ABC's Good Morning America this morning. Unfortunately for her, the only thing she managed to do was show the world just how crazy she truly is.
We admit that we felt a little bit bad when we made all of those fat jokes about her. Hundley's mental state was so fragile after the public ridicule that someone needed to be by her side at all times to ensure she didn't hurt herself.
However, being made fun of does not give you a free pass at changing the facts. In the interview, Hundley stated that she got involved with Phillips because he made her. He threatened her with ruining her career if she didn't sleep with him, and Brooke, ever the career woman, decided that she'd better do what he said. This scenario happens every day. A man in position of power uses his authority to coerce a female subordinate into sleeping with him. Most women in this situation, however, do not write crazy Fatal Attraction-esque letters to the man's wife like Hundley did.
At the end of the day, we feel bad for Brooke Hundley. Not because we think she's the victim here, but because she should have never done the interview in the first place. The juicy story she helped create had blown over and people had already forgotten about her. Now that she has talked about it on television, that old wound has been reopened.

Aww. This makes me feel badly for all the subordinates I've encouraged to have sex with me in exchange for keeping their jobs. Maybe I should go to rehab for sex addiction too.
