It's been far too long since we've heard any news from our third favorite man of the cloth (here are numbers one and two), so we were quite tickled to discover that Padre Alberto Cutié's story has been made into a movie!
The movie, romantically titled El celibato, is directed by Steve Bocaranda, who says his movie is only partially based on the character of Padre Alberto and points out that is protagonist even has a different name - Roberto!
In conducting research for the movie, Bocaranda says he tried talking to several people close to the former Catholic priest in the wake of his scandal because Cutié himself would not answer his calls.
This all sounds immensely classy and like it was filmed with expensive camera equipment (just like the ones used in Hollywood!). The film's trailer confirms both these things and deepens our desire to watch this:
