Elizabeth Lambert's Anger Issues May Have Been Caused by Older Siblings' Shadows

A look at the family of Elizabeth Lambert, who was suspended indefinitely today for her unsportsmanlike bitchslapping, may shine some light at her underlying anger issues. Liz grew up as one of four children. Two of her older siblings played sports at the collegiate level. Her older sister Christine played volleyball for the University of Connecticut  until she graduated in 2003. She was also named to the 2002 All-Big East First Team. Her other sibling, Keith, had the distinction of playing midfielder for the Humboldt State University Lumberjacks, where he was named to the 2006 All-CCAA (California Collegiate Athletic Association) Second Team. It must have been tough on Liz not being the only athlete in the home, or the first person to win a soccer scholarship. To stand out from her brother and sister, Liz had to go balls to the wall insane. After high school, Liz enrolled at the University of New Mexico and became a Lobo in the fall of 2007. Her major is University Studies with a focus on Occupational Therapy. In other words, she had a bullshit major. Liz clearly went to UNM to focus solely on playing soccer. With two big pairs of shoes to fill, left by her older siblings, and all her eggs in the soccer basket, it's no wonder she snapped. It didn't help that her team was losing to BYU, or that she had accumulated two yellow cards in the past two games before this match. The only thing Lobo fans are talking about is how she has taken attention away from the UNM's football head coach, who got in a fight with one of his assistants. There must be something in the water over at Albuquerque making everyone so ornery.
