Sammy Sosa’s Skin Is Whiter, Looks Like He Saw A Ghost

Former  baseball player Sammy Sosa is in the news again, and this time it’s not because of steroid allegations. The Dominican pelotero was spotted looking much whiter than usual at the 2009 Latin Grammys held in Las Vegas, as evidenced by the picture above.

People are speculating as to what may have caused the lighter complexion that Slammin’ Sammy is sporting. One possibility is vitiligo, a chronic dermatological disorder that causes depigmentation of the skin. While it’s a possibility that Sosa is suffering from the same skin condition that Michael Jackson had, we suspect the new change in tone is self-inflicted.

We are inclined to believe that the former Chicago Cubs outfielder has gone through cosmetic skin bleaching. Our suspicion is further strengthened by the fact that Sosa is wearing a pair of green contact lenses in the picture. If this is the case, we have to wonder what would have pushed the Dominican to take make drastic changes in his appearance.
