Syfy’s Caprica Streaming Online For Free

Holy Space Opera, Batman! Syfy, the cable network loved and adored by geeks across the land, is streaming the extended 2-hour pilot episode of Caprica online for free. Caprica is the long-awaited prequel to Battlestar Galactica.

Even if you aren’t familiar with BSG, whether it be the original or the reboot, you should still check out Caprica for several reasons. Yes, the show is science fiction, but the subject matter deals with more than just nerdtastic things. We saw the pilot episode during the 2009 Austin Film Festival and our minds were blown. Feuding families, power, and corruption? What more could you want?

And if we can’t convince you, perhaps our boy Esai Morales can. He plays Joseph, the head of the Adama clan and father to William (played by Edward James Olmos in Battlestar Galactica), whose family feuds with the Greystones.
