Prince made sure everyone knew he was heterosexual this past Sunday by showing up at the the Dallas Cowboys-Minnesota Vikings divisional playoff game. The man that gave us Purple Rain was shown from time to time at a sky box rooting for the Vikings the only way Prince can, by watching nonchalantly and looking bored.
But just being at the games is not enough for Prince. Nah, homes. Prince don't play like that. If he's going to support a team, you best be damn sure that he's going to write a song about it. Inspired by watching the Vikings crush Dallas (and our Cowboys-fanatical heart), Prince composed the following tune called "Purple And Gold." You can hear a segment of the song below:
We don't know, Prince. This song doesn't really evoke any emotions of winning and kicking ass. If anything it sounds like church choir music, or even "We're so getting our asses kicked by the New Orlean Saints this weekend" music.
