Just like we covered the crap out of the Tiger Woods Story, we're going to be all up on Ashley Cole's business. Don't like it? Oh well. Life's tough, get a helmet. So what little piece of gossip do we have today? Well, according to the ever-reputable The Sun, Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole begged his scorned hottie of a wife Cheryl to stay together. He even suggested going to sex rehab and couples counseling. But Cheryl isn't having any of that. According to a source that spoke with the tabloid:

Ashley was calling every ten minutes or so and leaving messages. He was very emotional and in distress. Ashley suggested they could go for counseling and that he could try therapy. He admitted for the first time that he has a problem. Cheryl refused to answer any of the calls and they went straight to voicemail.

Is sex rehab the forgiveness tactic de jour for professional athletes? Call us old fashioned and romantics, but we still think that going the Kobe Bryant route and buying your wife a ring that's bigger than the Rock of Gibraltar and costs more than Mexico's GDP is the best way to handle a situation like this.
