Someone working in The Guardian's photo department is a real wise guy. Just take a look at the image they chose to run with the story about the Vatican's gay sex scandal involving a member of the Gentlemen Of His Holiness, a fraternal order that are supposed to "distinguish themselves for the good of souls and the glory of the name of the Lord," and the 29 year-old Vatican chorister who was procuring gay prostitutes for him.

As a black conservative catholic, I can only assume that the liberal media is behind all this.
ReplyGuardian photo editor, I salute you.
ReplyThis is the oldest boys club in the world. When you spend centuries in secret, when you denigrate women, when you try to force celibacy on men that may want a family or someone to love, when you keep women out of the priesthood, you court and invite trouble. The Pope is not infallible. The church is more often wrong then right. And when you spend a huge amount of time covering up for priests, and moving them so they cannot be caught, when you inflict on your victims the image of the priest as just a step down from God, you make the crime worse. The lay people in the catholic church are the ones that make religion work. They do the heavy lifting and the toiling in the name of the church. The Pope and most of the higher ups, and many of the Priests are parasites. The catholic church needs to be torn apart and reformed from top to bottom. The Pope is not holy. None of them are. They are elected the same way a President is. They are chosen for one thing only, to hold tight to the outdated, archaic fundamentalist notions of men. Not Gods, but men. And having male equipment, does not automatically make you fit for the priesthood.
ReplyFor a lack of a better word, Amen!
ReplyThose priests look as if they are about to do to the pope, what alter boys to do them!
Reply"lay people" is a verb.
Reply¨The church is more often wrong then right¨. You mean ¨than¨, not ¨then¨.
ReplyYou should get over blaming the "enemy" for everything that doesnt fit into your little world. It does not do any one any good.
Reply"The catholic church needs to be torn apart and reformed from top to bottom." It was; that's how we got protestants!
ReplyGet over yourself, seriously.
