420: Five Objects That Make Great Bongs

Today is April 20th, the holiest of days for marijuana enthusiasts. In honor of 420, the one day where Cheech & Chong serve as high priests to smokers everywhere, we've compiled a list of several items you can use to make a bong.

Aluminum Can:

Okay, technically, this isn't a bong, but given the subject matter, it'd be wrong to exclude it. The aluminum can, much like the apple, is the training wheels for any pothead. You don't need to make many alterations to the design in order to fashion a smoking apparatus. All you do is flatten a side of the can, poke a hole for the carb, and you're set. This takes us back to high school.

PVC Pipe

PVC pipes are an integral part of a household's plumbing, but did you know that they're also a great material for making bongs? It's true. The best type is the y-pipe because you can use one of the top ends to place your bowl in, and the other to inhale the smoke from.

Giant Chocolate Easter Bunny

Easter was just a couple of weekends ago, so the likelihood that you have a giant chocolate Easter bunny lying around or can find one heavily discounted at the store are pretty high. This chocolate Easter Bunny is perfect because of its hollow properties. All you have to do is is make a  perforation on the bunny's stomach, stick a bowl in there, cut the top portion off one of the ears, pour some water inside, and voila. Insta-bong. The best part is you can eat the chocolate afterward. Sure, it might taste horrible but you won't care. You'll be high.

Honey Bear

This was probably the first smoking device we've ever made. Being the unoriginal douchebags that we are, we decided to make our own after watching Floyd, masterfully played by Brad Pitt, in True Romance smoke one. Like most items on this list, all you need to do is make two perforations: one for the bowl, and one for the carb.

Water Cooler Bottle

This one takes a little bit of work to make but, like all things that require the extra effort, it's totally worth it. You'll need a water cooler bottle, a caulking gun, two plastic hosess, a rubber stopper, and friends. First step is to make perforations on the side of the bottle for the pipes. Once in place, use the caulking gun to seal them off. Next, poke a hole through the rubber stopper for the bowl and its stem. Finally, load, light up, and inhale.
