Last night on Real Time with Bill Maher, Richard Tillman, the brother of Arizona Cardinal Pat Tillman who was killed in the war in Afghanistan, was on the show to promote the new documentary The Tillman Story, a film that looks into the suspicious lies and cover-up surrounding Pat's death in Afghanistan in 2004 by friendly fire. (Originally the government told Pat's family that Pat was killed in battle defending his platoon.) Pat's brother Richard is one outspoken character and, as it turns out, an atheist. Pat was also an atheist liberal and had grown disillusioned with the war once he began serving. So, when Republican John McCain and [Republican-by-marriage] Maria Shriver showed up at Pat's memorial service to attempt to exploit Pat's death for their party's cause by, amongst other things, making speeches filled with religious platitudes like, "You will see Pat again when a loving God reunites us all with our loved ones," Richard retorted with an atheist fuck you. The clip is above and it's amazing.

Ha. Good for him. Oh, and Maria Shriver is a Democrat and not a Republican, but then it's not like there is a difference these days.
ReplyGive me a break. Her husband is the Republican governor of California. If you don't think she did that to help give George Bush's war a positive spin as a favor to her husband, you're more naive than the poor slobs who enlist to go fight. The only reason she lists as Democrat is because she's a Kennedy and it would be blasphemous not to.
ReplySigh. It's difficult for you to admit when you're wrong, isn't it? But don't worry, I seem to have the same problem.
ReplyNo i really knew she was a dem, (she's a kennedy for god's sake. how could i not know?) but i assumed people have realized what i do. you don't marry a guy who runs for office as a republican if you're a dyed in the wool democrat. even bill maher implies she was there for war propaganda purposes. I should have explained all that and I didn't. THAT was wrong of me. I was being lazy. (It was Saturday.)
ReplyOh, all right. Thanks for the explanation.
ReplyWhats so amazing about this story ? Good for him he got something off his chest so what. Shriver is not only a DEM she's part of the Kennedy clan. The more I read stories on here the more it becomes apparent that this site is nothing more than a partisan liberal rag. Wake up Guanabee the majority of Hispanics are center right always were and always will be so get your head out of your arses rather than bore us with your leftist babble.
ReplyHa. This made me laugh.
ReplyNot where i grew up. South Texas RGV Dems till we die. Also, Texas was always a Democratic state until the last 15 years. And we will rise again.
And "what's so amazing about this story" is that Richard Tillman stood up to those two-faced, sociopathic murderers who are getting the poor slobs killed who are dumb enough to enlist because they believe in something called "patriotism". They lied to his family. They covered up the true cause of his death. The least they deserve is a fuck you. ReplyAmerica has become so politically correct, that we now find it exciting when someone tells someone else to F-off.
Reply"What's so amazing about this" to me is the fact that you, Cindy, would have to explain ""what's so amazing about this story." Only a pinche tonto would assume you don't know that Maria Shriver is a Democrat and a Kennedy. WTF? I think the majority of Republican Latinos (Tio Tomases) that are religious and/or un(der)-educated fall to the right in the political spectrum. My parents fall into this category. Personally, I think they just like the attention they get from right-wing Republican Taliban members who see them as a novelty. Even my dear Mother from Chihuahua refuses to see the wolf-(R) in demon sheep clothing.
ReplyF them for shoving their religious beliefs down a dead man's throat. And f keeping quiet when some arseholes desecrate your brother's memory with their fairy tales and Republican foolery.
Replyamen to that, LOL
