  1. The brawl happened during the game, after Monarcas' third goal. The game resumed after the brawl with several players sent off. 2. Corona, Cruz Azul's goalkeeper, head-butted Monarcas' fitness coach. He was not sent off, but has been kicked off the Mexican National Team for the Gold Cup. 3. No real sense of justice was served. Punching anyone on the field, by FIFA rules, merits a red card. Chaco Gimenez got sent off for punching the intruder. The intruder fought back, and this escalated violence. Monarcas players were protecting the intruder, Cruz Azul players were getting aggressive as the game had not ended and had to score two goals in order to get to the finals.
