The Puerto Rican Day Parade happened yesterday and, surprise, surprise: there was ¡controversia!
Here's the problem: the big guest stars, such as John Leguizamo and Romeo from Aventura, aren't Puerto Rican! (John Leguizamo says he's half Boricua but apparently his own father denies it.) And Roberto Alomar, who was suppose to be the token sports guy and is Boricua, didn't bother to show up.
But not all was lost; Tito El Bambino, Telemundo's Barbara Bermudo and El Gran Combo gave face and, um, redeemed the parade?!
Does feeling Boricua count for something? We swear we're puertorros when we dance to Francheska.

I feel them. After all, they never cast Mexicans to play Mexican roles. And they always invite Europeans to LATINO events and award shows.
